Many people got no notice that their benefits were ending. These thousands of people, who are not counted in the 37,000 that is often quoted, are even worse off because they aren't eligible for retroactive payments if the GOP and Perdue actually do their job and quit playing games with each other and pass this bill.
I cannot believe that our state government is holding us hostage like this. There is nothing to compromise on. ALL THEY HAVE TO DO IS ASK FOR THE FREE MONEY

I know I can no longer pay my bills and even by food.
These two have all the power right now. Call them up and ask them why they are holding back the benefits?

I could barely make ends meet with my unemployment, I live in a rural area where there are very few opportunities and now I cannot afford gas @ $4.00 to get to possible employment.
already moved in with in-laws. Have no money to buy insulin or other medications. This is just ridiculous. Good Citizens of NC deserve better.
I couldn't afford health insurance even with my unemployment after being laid off, and now that I lost my EB I can't afford my medications. I also can't afford gas for my car.
